Tapcon screw anchors do not have seismic certification or sufficient data for cracked concrete. They may, however, be accepted for light loads in certain applications:

• Surface wall mounting of equipment less than 100 lbs in normal importance projects (minimum four anchors)
• Small duct support where the load is less than 25 lb per anchor in normal importance projects
• VAV support where the load is less than 20 lb per anchor
• Installation of pendant fixtures where the load is less than 25 lbs per anchor and securement of safety chains/cables for fixtures installed in drop ceilings in normal importance projects

Minimum of 4” spacing between anchors. Screws to be 3/16” or 1/4”ø with a minimum embedment of 1-1/4” (screw to be a minimum of 1-1/2” long).
